Lu Miller, Senior Vice-President
Lu adds a diverse contribution to Morgan Consulting Resources with her skills in sales management, product development and Internet marketing strategy. She has a 20-year background in health insurance products, adding a new dimension to the expertise of the MCR team. Lu is a good fit for the Morgan Consulting team and its approach to executive recruiting because she is naturally collaborative, thrives on teamwork and is relentless in pursuit of the goal.
Prior to joining MCR, Lu served in executive level sales and product positions with Optum Health Specialty Benefits, a division of United Health Group, most recently as the Executive Vice-President of Group and Specialty Markets. As a member of the senior management team, Lu garnered the resources of United Health Group and stimulated the creative thinking of a dedicated team to develop life, disability, worksite marketing and professional association strategies and products. In just six years, the division grew from 10 employees to approximately 1,800, serving the ancillary employee benefits marketplace. Her recruiting expertise is well tested.
Lu previously served as Vice-President of Internet Sales and Marketing for ING Employee Benefits where she was the steward of the division’s Internet strategy from concept to execution. In this newly created role, Lu led a team in negotiating key partnerships, launching an internal team to interface with vendors and training sales reps from 25 offices. In 2002, she accepted a short-term assignment with the newly formed Worksite Marketing team with ING in Rotterdam, Netherlands where she helped develop a program to increase cross selling at the worksite.

When she takes a break from her work, Lu loves to spend time outdoors in the California Sierras indulging in her passion for skiing, golfing, hiking and floating down the Truckee River with her husband in their raft; when there is a snowstorm, she loves to bake cookies and cozy up by the fireplace in their log cabin.
